How Graduates Can Get Hired
With Borders Reopening

How Graduates Can Get Hired With Borders Reopening

We spoke to 100 Most Influential Young Entrepreneurs Award winner, Mr. Ahmed Rezal Chan, to find out what students can do now to boost their employment prospects post pandemic and how the graduate application process is likely to be affected by the crisis now that Malaysia is reopening their borders to all nationalities.

Companies in some sectors, such as hospitality, tourism and leisure, are finally hiring again, which is why graduates should start applying as soon as possible. Logistics, health, medicine, and some retailers (particularly online retailers) are booming as well, and therefore are actively on the lookout to recruit graduates. These are some of the industries that graduates should be focusing on applying to, especially post pandemic.

Ahmed Rezal said, “Graduates need a proper plan now that Malaysia's borders are opening once again. They need to do more research into what skills are needed right now to stand out from a sea of other applicants. The world has changed these past two years; it's time to show them what you learned since."

Yes2Malaysia - Postgraduate Virtual Open Day 2021 will offer a huge number of courses from so many different institutions. Its aims are to compete on a global scale, the course-inventory stretches to include requirements of every profession, to either penetrate employment or ascend in corporate ranks.
